there were some mad blackouts today, the power cut out just as we were about to eat. without our trusty mobile phone lights we would of probably drown in vegetable soup. luckily gemma cracked open a massive candle with jesus printed on the side of it and we enjoyed a nice candle lit dinner.

last night we went and saw the futureheads play at the waterfront, here is a photo of someone taking a photo of them. they played a brilliant, energetic set unlike their support bands who drove us to drink and hurl abuse in foreign tongues.

this weeks culinary treat is the humble yet flamboyant melon chunks. accompanied by a little plastic fork.

forgotten photo

this photo was taken at a friends cocktail party somewhere between ely and newmarket. the night was as hazy as the photo due to the various cocktails we concocted. this was helen drinking the cocktail i made called "the royal chunder" through drinking glasses.

today has been a goodun. started early with an interview for the evening news which goes in on monday for your retinal pleasure. then we went for a skate in great yarmouth's now only partially lit skatepark. on the way home anthony decided to pull the handle off my glove box which was a great idea as our wallets and phones are now permanently entombed in there. to finish the day we tried to cut my hair, we were going for this but it turned out more like this.

flat-packin

today was spent building shelves for my studio. flat-pack furniture is great it gives you that DIY feeling which makes you want to run out and buy a tool belt and some denim dungarees. all these warm feelings were shattered though when i pulled my back out and am now in intense pain. damn you tool time tim!

don't touch bombs

i was sent a photo from my good friend mr shortround of wsm-mag today. he's putting up some posters to help people remember not to touch bombs. if you choose to ignore this advice bad things might happen.

james got pop up pirate for christmas, i forgot how good it is. i'm pretty sure the pirate didn't look as camp when i was a kid though, he looks like he enjoys the rod popping up his arse nowadays. i guess it's like prison, must get pretty lonely in that barrel your whole life with nothing but a good stabbing and pole up the bum every now and then to keep you company.

i met my first maine coon the other night, it's owner told us it would grow to the size of a dog. the only problem i can think of is when it gets playful and chases your feet you might get dead. that doesn't outweigh the fact you can take it to the woods and pretend to be david attenborough though.
