our first bag head winner is frédéric simcic for his beautifully rendered bag, expect your box of loot in the post soon frédéric. we also had an email from daisy with some more pictures from her brick lane show including the massive stacks of dirt box bags they were giving away, good work daisy. the next winner will be announced on the 17th of december so you've got a while to craft your bags into something special.

home sweet home

i'm finally back in norwich for a while and i've been enjoying every minute so far. met up with all the horn dogs last night for some brewskis which turned into the usual sporadic wrongness. started today at outpost with loz watching mr davenport finish setting up for his show on friday. then we met up with anthony and ate some chips in the sun before heading off for a little hesh sesh at a local concrete park. loz and anthony found all the spare wheels in the back of my car and in the time it took me to take a piss they had cleaned me out. after sweating half our bodyweight in the heat we headed off for some refreshments, loz found a techno track on his new phone and tony pulled some killer shapes in the car park. then we headed out to the sticks, chopped some logs for the fire pit and roasted some mallows.

norwich night out

met up with sir laurence this evening, we had a little pub crawl around the city moving from one soon to close pub to the next. sam kept taking the piss out of loz's shorts all night which eventually led to loz breaking a guitar over sam's head. they soon made up though and we headed down to 'bootlegs' to buy some polish beers which brought the too of them even closer together. after a few poliskis sam had convinced loz to stay the night at his country cottage which i took as my cue to head off home, leaving the two of them to tend to eachothers needs.

there are playlists for lee and umberto on the pootube now. we are going to keep playlists updated for all the dirt box riders on the pootube so you can subscribe to whoever you want to see and then we'll add every video on youtube they appear in to their playlist...genius.

fever to tell

me and fred decided to get up early today, well half ten but that feels early when you're up until five in the morning every night. we went to get breakfast and then headed to the tate to see the cy twombly show that's on at the moment, there was some really nice stuff especially in the end rooms. we then had a 99 which we paid £2 for? ice cream men are flying the flag for false advertising. on the way back we popped into our friend eleanor's vintage store on brick lane and minced about in all the unsorted clothes in the basement for a while. when we got back umberto had only just woke up and was still feeling the fever. we hung out for a bit, said our goodbyes then fred and umberto headed back to france for some much needed rest.

london part 3

this is hopefully the last of me posting sams tales, the cheeky little chump should be back tomorrow if he manages to get his train back on time. he started the day off with the traditional cinder vs spinal battle on killer instinct, then went around the vintage stores with fred and drooled over the amazing shoes. they later met up with sam butt to get some photos of umberto, who had developed a steaming hot fever, however he still managed to perform for the camera after half a bottle of helicidine and a pack of ibuprofen. This was just after klemen found it really funny how small 'big ben' is, think he had drank the other half of the helicidine bottle. the night was ended off in a weirdo bar where umberto had a michael jackson dance off with a sweaty, topless fruit cake, umberto's moves attracted some cracked out women who were convinced that he was the the real jacko and wanted to breed with him.

london part 2

"we started the day off with a good old full english in a greasy spoon down the street. we then had another day of hassle from security, this one with the red jacket was probably my favorite in the whole time i've been skating. he had a mad power stance and him and umberto got a bit lost in translation which was hilarious, it ended with umberto saying he's going to leave on the same boat to mexico that he came on. we spent the night on brick lane and visited the first and best beigel shop which lived up to it's name." said sam

london(outoftown)ers

well sam has gone off to london to meet up with umberto and fred, leaving me to guard the fort and keep the blog updated. they spent all day getting kicked out of every street spot so landed up at daganham park where umberto practiced his nosepicks,a trick he learnt off the local bmxers. after that umberto ate his first english fish and chips which led to some rock and rollin down camden town, then the shameful night bus home.

ukskate summer jam

we're sponsoring the ukskate summer jam this year. it's set to be a good event with plenty of big names attending, to be honest it's worth going just to watch the lomax show. if you haven't seen him skate yet grab some popcorn and head down there. also there is loads of dirt box stuff up for grabs if you shred so bring your 'A' game.

issue 6 of kingdom hit the shelves today. go grab a copy and check out our new print ad announcing the two new members of the dirt box family. also lee got the route one ad this month with one of his trademark sty-lee tricks and cheesy grins.

umberto and fred are swapping the sunny streets of paris for the soggy streets of london today. sam's heading up to meet them and will be bringing them back to norwich at some point so expect some tales of their travels soon.

lucky cycle

ive been looking around to buy a bike, after having a ride around paris im hooked on getting that meg ryan in city of angels feeling, i mean the bit before she dies. yesterday some old guy tried to sell me this thing, he claimed all the little toys and things were good luck charms. strangely, even with the chance of winning the lotto, i declined his offer.

i was lurking in the frozen food isles today and i was surprised to discover that while we were away captain birds eye has put an age restriction on his delicious frozen treats. make sure you take your id next time you want some fishy fingers.

back in l'angleterre

sunday was spent hanging out and recovering from the night before's party. we met umberto and fred who ate kfc for breakfast again, think they are getting bored of it though cause they took more pleasure in feeding it to the scabby pigeons. we then headed over to palais de tokyo where we spent ages looking at all the books and being in touch with our arty side, umberto also got in touch with his t-rex side and discovered an alternative escalator riding. after that he had to say goodbye to neil who had to fly back to manchester i already miss him and his snoring. after hugs and goodbyes sam and lee decided to switch skins which took ages and we missed our eurostar train, thankfully we blagged our way onto the next one claiming that we were in a taxi accident. we lost lee during the whole saga but he made it onto his train, being the beat master he never misses a beat.

we're packing up our goods and getting ready to return to l'angleterre so expect a big post tomorrow.

anthony and neil managed to persuade me into waking up for breakfast at the hotel today, they made it sound amazing by telling me it was in a dungeon which i thought was a lie but turned out to be true. when we went back up to our room lee was working out in the bathroom and getting all hulked up. we went out to la defense and got some amazing food on the way, first time some of us have felt properly nourished in a few days. we then went to check some other spots, lee really needed to piss when we got there and found a quiet corner. little did he know his golden stream of urine would run down the hill and end up tripping him over on the run up to a ledge he wanted to skate. tonight was our last night so we went to meet umberto and the guys at his apartment for some drinks before another night on the streets of paris.

everything in waves

everyone woke up feeling haggard today apart from neil who nearly didn't wake up at all. the hotel room is getting crazy messy because we've been asleep for the last 3 days when the cleaner comes around so she skipped our room. it was raining this morning so we thought nothing was going to get done but then old lady luck came out to play and it got really hot in the afternoon. we went on a mission to porte d'ivry with all the french guys and sean to session the infamous blue wave ledges, it was real fun but hard work because we hadn't eaten anything all day so stomach rot was taking over. neil and lee went on a food mission and came back with one raw red pepper which i think shows how desperate the situation was. we headed back to the hotel and got some food in us and then went back out to meet the french guys for a night of whiskey supping under the eiffel tower. anthony proved to the guys selling the keyrings that sex really does sell and demonstrated some techniques they could include in their sales speal. we ended up getting into a bit of a tussle with some james blunt fans who wanted umberto's jacket really bad and ripped the shit out of the pocket trying to pry it from him, neil even got a slap around the chops whilst pulling the little sewer rats off him. we tried to get bikes again to ride back to the hotel but it started raining so we hid in stairwells and waited for a taxi.

mega mincing post

today was a roaster so we decided to spend the day mincing about, had a wander about some shops where sam found the best jacket for his new goth image, we did some site seeing too which is always good for watching people pose for holiday snaps. neil later befriended a rat which got so excited about his new found friend that it pissed all over neil, leaving him stinking like rat boy. spent the evening at umberto and fred's apartment drinking fine wines and eating cheese, we chatted the night away then decided to go for a little bike ride on the rent-a-bikes, brilliant night had by all.

neil arrived today on his astro-turf hippiemobile, he found our hotel with ease thanks to me hanging out the window. we met up with our french fancy friends and had a little rollershoe at a spot im not going to even try to spell, later on we headed over to bercy which was swamped with jack johnson fans so we had a little razzle at the skatepark around the back where some kids showed up and did a little gig for us.

lee's arrival party

lee arrived today so we went for steak and partied to celebrate. we went to a real good bar with all the french guys, there was even a guy with a bad ass stash rocking the air guitar. sean and his girlfriend gwen (who has been an absolute life saver with her bi-lingual beer buying skills) are in town so they have been hanging out too. neil arrives tomorrow morning so we're going to meet up with everyone and get some shredding done.

sack packing again

i don't know why i bother unpacking this anymore. now off to meet the rest of the horn dogs in paris for a week of cheap wine, shredery and hopefully a completely sold out kills show if i can blag some mickey mouse tickets from a man selling rubber squeeze me gorillas with a pop out penis.

today we ventured into the city to try find a present for sams brother, we found this itrip which im guessing is like acid for your ipod. apparently its really good for your ipod, you plug it in and your ipod goes for a really long walk and has really intense chats then "finds itself" somewhere after about 8 hours wanting to go home and sleep but just cant, sounds great.

long summer days

today was the nicest day. the sun was shining and the weather was sweet and it made me want to move my dancing feet, as well as have a bbq and drink this weeks ale of choice "long days", yet another champ from the badger brewery, perfect for these long summery days.
