needles and mouthwash

i'm missing a whole days photos because i ran out of battery and couldn't find a plug converter but i found one today so we're back in business now. last night we went to some bars and watched a massive group of people bomb the streets of paris on their rollershoes with police escourts, waterboys and everything. then we went to some squat party on the other side of the city, apparently the police were shutting the place down the next day so it got pretty wild. we got back to umbertos place as it was getting light and he showed us his newly purchased extra cable channels. today we slept pretty late and then went to film with fred, i don't think he was very impressed with our efforts though because he dressed up as quasimodo and started lurking on passers by instead of filming. umberto went off on his scooter for a "secret mission" that he assured us we would all love; he came weaving back down the busy streets of paris with a massive guitar hero box balanced on the back of his scooter and a pirate piercing. naturally we called marley and got a heated guitar hero session underway for the next few hours. we wanted to roughen up the image of our band so we decided jail tattoos were the answer, about 2 hours of pain later our band "umberto and the unsanitized finger bangers" were ready to take the stage again (check our myspace for tour dates). later that night we went to some swanky apartment for a big party fred told us about. i was hanging out on the balcony and it started snowing really hard and i can honestly say it was one of the top 10 most beautiful moments of the last 24 hours. when i went back into the party umberto was lacing everyones drinks with some luminous green shit that tasted like mouthwash while repeatedly saying "seriously trust me, beer doesn't do anything anymore but this makes it work". there were quite a few dirt box fans there to my suprise, the girl who's apartment it was (sorry the name part of my brain is fried, ask anthony he'll jump at the oppertunity to tell you stories in which i end up looking like a right satchel) even had a bag head stashed in her room. i found my own mask and kept the ball up for the mexican theme.

tree soup and the esqueleto ramp

arrived in paris yesterday, fred met me at the train station and we went to a sushi bar where i was introduced to tree soup. we went to some bars and watched some american dude that looked like u2 with cancer try and play some blues. woke up late today and went to meet umberto for lunch where we indulged in some more tree soup, making my diet so far purely tree soup and freds extensive whiskey collection. then me and fred went to just about every vintage store in paris and after finding an amazing cardigan i've decided to reinvent myself as a romanian gypsy. we all met up tonight and went to a town just outside paris with a big indoor skatepark which had an esqueleto bandit ramp which we all got way too exited about. by the way dwen if you're reading this yan and greg from 912 say hi. the session finished at midnight then we went back to umbertos and he cooked up some much needed nutrition useing all kinds of secret ingredients. hung out with marley for a bit and now i'm sitting here trying my hardest to write this on the most fucked up keyboard ever, all the keys are totally different and you have to hold shift to do numbers. my first attempt at writing my email address was 100% unsuccessfull and this post has taken about two and a half hours to write.

sam left today for paris, he'll be there till the weekend hanging out with umberto and crew. he'll probably be doing some t-shirt ripping too, just for the hell of it.

in other neil the ingall news he sent us this photo via the mail of interweb, he saw it in some old book shop and thought that it was a perfect representation of sam and i, im the one holding the mirror. neil has been hanging around the hereford area living in a barn where when he is not making dissolving clothes he spends his time milking cows and tending to the pigs.

earlier this year neil exhibited work in "preserve your instinct's" a "multi-disciplinary exhibition showcasing original thinkers and designers in association with JOSEPH" it's part of a bigger exhibition that will travel to tokyo next autumn. you can read neils design statement here. neil is also working on some dirt box t-shirts that will be released next year.

last night we went out drinking with the bespoke boys who are always fine company. the pub cat took a shining to seanboy and kept trying to rub itself all over him. sean was playing hard to get which wound the poor pussy up so much that it let out the stinkiest fart we had ever smelt. we had to leave soon after cause the other people in the pub thought the smell was coming from us so we ventured out into the snow where sam got all abusive about the cat ruining our night.

finally

after monday nights disappointment we decided that the kills would not get the best of us so we traveled down to cambridge to finally see them. we also got to see lee which was a bonus and got to watch him make a right mess of some poor bird. the gig was amazing and sam wet his pants, then again later when he got to meet vv's younger sister and dad. i thought i had loads of good photos but unfortunately this is all i have to offer, ill blame marley.

well im back in the finest of all cities, after what seemed like 3 days of traveling i finally made it home. been so jet lagged i even ate a burger king in the airport, lee you should be so proud, i did a little "burger king,burger king,burger king......." chant and everthing, even took a photo so i can prove to you that i actually did it.

went to hang out with alexia and her new kitten today, he's gorgeous. i could kiss his little tum tum all day. i love kittens, they make me all fuzzy inside. once when i was a child i stole a sugar mouse from woolworths but my dad caught me with it in my mouth and i had to apologise to the girl at the checkout, i thought i was going straight to the slammer. i think that was the kitten in me just acting instictively and trying to get some tail. anyway when i got back from alexia's i was covered in fur from the kitten and i think kubrick got jealous because he was whoring being overly affectionate and acting all alpha male to make sure i knew who's boss. oh yea and anthony attacked the kitten with a giraffe draft excluder but i guess that's ok because he never swears on the internet.

a grand a canyon

well the canyons sure are grand even if you have to pay $25 to get into the national park. met loads of old people who wanted to talk to us and tell us were to go next and what to see. bumped into some animals which is always a sweet treat, saw some huge elks but didnt get to take a photo cause i nearly drove off a cliff in excitement.

found this amazing salvation army in flagstaff, it had a back yard that was packed with piles of old stuff. also stumbled accross this second hand book shop that had loads of old magazine, i got so many good magazines think im going to need a new bag for all of them.

i was hanging out with my little brother tonight and while going through his stuff i found an old school photo repping a dirt box button and then in his cd collection i stumbled across a disc that nearly made me damp my pants. he told me he got approached by a group of lil waynes in norwich and felt so intimidated he bought a cd off ill jake, a similar thing happened to harry and lee when we were in new york a few years back involving our now good friend papoose. the moral of these stories is, don't let someone pressure you into a big decision just because of the colour of their skin...i mean think about it; when was the last time you bought a big issue?

salvation in the sea of salt

did some driving around salton sea today, did i mention that we got some hybrid car that has no key and you have to push a button to start it, took two days to work out how to open the boot but think ive got it mastered now. anyway found salvation mountain, also got to meet the old guy who build the epic thing, he was super nice and excited that we were from england and wanted to take photos of the place. think he dropped a few of his marbles while making it though but its amazing so if your ever in the area go find salvation.
